The Riding Ice Chest

Our friend Jeff (he's in the first picture with Ashley)owns this ice chest you can ride that is powered by an electric motor. It actually gets going really fast. Chris takes Ashley around the block on it. She giggles the whole time she is riding on it. We store it in our garage and every time she sees it, she walks over to it and tries to get us to take her for a ride.

Jeff also got Ashley these cool kids glasses that match the exact same kind Chris has. They were styling together!

A few funny things.....

Ashley is getting so big, so fast. The last few weeks she has been doing some funny stuff, so I figured I would post some of the pictures. One of her new favorite things is Cheetos. This picture doesn't do justice to how much cheese she had all over her face and hands, but I thought it was priceless.

Another thing she recently learned, was that the dishwasher is a fun place to sit and play. I was in the front room a few days ago, and Ashley was being really quiet. I got up to check on her, and this is what I found!!

Another recent favorite thing of hers, is getting herself dressed. She obviously can't do it by herself, but she'll take a shirt and try to put it on like pants, and pants on her arms. It's so funny to watch her until she gets frustrated from not being able to do it herself. Here's a picture of her putting daddy's hat on.

Ashley's favorite thing to eat is Spaghetti. She is trying to learn how to feed herself, so I let her try Spaghetti. This is what I got to clean up after her "learning experience".

Laying the Sod

Now that the yard was prepped for sod, we finally got the entire front yard covered. We just need to lay sod in the small front section by the street and the side yard. I am so excited!! It looks so great! Ashley loves having a yard to walk around on, and she loves to water it. Especially because she gets her daddy all wet.

Last Spring we noticed how hard it was to get rid of all the weeds that were popping up all over our yard. After awhile, it seemed like we had more weeds than grass. We also wanted to do a few landscaping changes, so last May we decided to tear up all of our grass. A few weekends ago Chris' parents came into town to visit and so kindly offered to help get our yard ready for sod. Chris and his dad were pros at running the tractor (or whatever you call that big machine). I think all of our neighbors had nicknamed us the hillbilly's since our yard has been such a mess for a year now
