Happy Burfday Best Friend

Chris celebrated his 32nd birthday on October 28th. The morning started with him working from home and me needing to run some last minute birthday errands, so we sang him Happy Birthday and I headed out the door.

By the time I arrived home, he had headed out to meet up with a few co-workers and they took him out to lunch at Rodizio Grill.

Late afternoon he was done working and he wanted to go to a shooting range to celebrate his birthday so that's where we headed.

He turned around, but he knew I was ready to snap a picture so this is the stupid pose he made.

So happy to shoot a gun. He's such a guy!

He also loves playing guitars and said he wanted to stop by Guitar Center so he could play some of the super nice guitars.

We picked up the girls from a friend and headed home to share Coldstone Creamery ice cream cupcakes.

Happy Birthday hon. Couldn't ask for anyone better to share my life with. You are so patient and kind and make my life fun and exciting. You are the most wonderful father to our girls and the most amazing husband. Can't wait to spend 32 more years and beyond together!

Trunk or Treat

Happy Halloween from the Brown's.

Velma, Shaggy, Daphne, Fred, and our Ghost Madison. We didn't have a Scooby Doo.

Total Daphne pose.

Poor Rylee. Her first real Halloween and she's dressed up as a boy. Ashley's look is priceless.

Madison wouldn't sit still long enough for me to get a good picture of her. We painted her face white but she cried and screamed and wanted us to take it off so we did.

If You Chance to Meet a Frown

Do Not Let it Stay........

Quickly Turn it Upside Down and Smile that Frown Away!!!

Ashley's Birthday Party

Ashley had a circus themed birthday party this year. The week before the party she decorated these bags with circus stickers and then we filled it with popcorn and delivered them to her friends.

Her party began with everyone decorating a clown hat.

Ashley modeling her hat and clown nose.

We played a few games. The kids tried bouncing ping pong balls into an egg carton. They also played pin the nose on the clown.

After a few games, we headed out to the garage to hit the pinata.

We sang Happy Birthday to her. She wanted a rainbow cake. I had seen my cousin make this cake and stole the recipe from her!

It was really fun to make and tasted awesome!

She loved opening her presents and she got lots of great stuff.

We had some time after cake and ice cream so we headed to the front yard to play another game. I had hardboiled eggs and the kids each grabbed a partner and put the egg on the spoon and tried racing it to their partner without dropping it.

Once her party was over, I grabbed Ashley and we headed to Boo at the Zoo. Ashley wanted to be Scooby Doo instead of Daphne. She had a really fun, but tiring day.

Happy 4th Birthday Ashley

Happy Birthday to my beautiful Ashley!

Ashley, the past few years have just flown by and I can't believe my little girl is already four. You are such a great big sister. Madison wants to do everything you do and she just adores you. You can make Rylee laugh faster than anyone. Your smile lights up a room.

You have the longest, prettiest hair and I love that every morning you look forward to me brushing it and pulling it back. You would have me braid your hair every morning if we had the time.

You love to sing and lately you make up songs if you aren't in the mood to sing one you know. Every night I sing to you and you ask for the same two songs. The "birdie song" which is My Heavenly Father Love Me, and the "Temple Song" which is I love to See the Temple. Once I sing those two, I can then choose anything else!

You love to play with your friends, and you ask me every day when someone is going to come over and play. When they do come to play, your favorite thing to do is play dress up.

I am so proud of you and can't wait to see what fun things you learn and do until your next birthday. I love you so much!

Ashley's birthday was Tuesday, October 26th. We started the morning by singing Happy Birthday to her while she opened a present.

After we got ready for the morning, we headed to McDonald's for lunch with Mariana and Jill. On our way home from lunch, we got the Barbie movie from Redbox that Ashley had wanted to see. We went home and watched it while Madison and Rylee took their nap.

After nap time I took Rylee and Madison to Alissa's house so she could watch them while I took Ashley to get her hair done for the Princess Ball we would be attending that night.

My sister Camille is attending Cosmetology School and I was excited that she could do Ashley's hair and be a part of her birthday.

We needed the perfect dress to go with that gorgeous hair! She looked amazing!

This is Maggie. The Princess Ball was in her honor. She is a beautiful four year old little girl with Cerebral Palsy. Her family has learned about special oxygen treatments that could help her develop but these treatments are very costly. All proceeds from the Princess Ball went to these treatments. They made over $2500 by the end of the night.

Mariana and Jill bought our tickets to get into the Ball as a birthday present for Ashley. We were so excited to go with them! They are the greatest!

When we first arrived we went to take our pictures with Princess Amareh. Ashley was so shy and wouldn't answer any of the questions she was asked.

They had a couple from a dance company there to teach the kids how to dance. Here are all five of the kids from our ward lined up across from their parent, ready to dance.

Ashley and Matthew dancing together.

KoDee and Ashley dancing. They were swinging each other around.

Princess Amerah talked with the kids and introduced them to the Prince.

They had a station for face painting, but the line was quite long. The kids were pretty bored while they waited. Matthew and Ashley took turns trying to pick each other up.

Ashley asked if she could get her face painted like a flower princess. The lady doing the painting was amazing.

We finished the night by getting a few more photos of our group and the kids.

Aren't they the cutest!
