I have a small tub of lotion on my nightstand that has a lid that screws on and off. I must not have screwed it on very tight because I came into the kitchen after Rylee had been too quiet for too long to find this...........

Madison turns TWO!
Madison AKA Godzilla! You have always been my child that keeps me on my toes. You love your older sister and try to do everything she does. You talk more than any two year old I've met and can not just communicate with one or two words, you use complete sentences. If you had any toy of choice you would probably choose a baby doll with a stroller. You are such a good little mommy to your dolls.
You are super quick to share with your sisters and are worried when one of them is crying or hurt. You are super tough, especially when it comes to getting hurt. You hop right back up and usually don't even cry.
You are such a blessing to our family and I love you so much!

Madison's birthday was the day after Thanksgiving. I spent the morning grabbing a few birthday items, and then we headed off to Chick-Fil-A for Madison's birthday lunch. We celebrated her birthday that evening.
Madison super excited and clapping as her cake was brought out to her.

I'm not quite sure why she felt the need to dig into her cupcake with her mouth only! This was the beginning to opening everything else that night with her mouth.

My sister sent both Ashley and Madison a present.

Yep, she opened it with her mouth.
And this one......

Happy Birthday Madison! We love you and can't wait to watch you grow!

Family Pictures
I don't know what it is lately, but I haven't felt like blogging. Maybe because October, November, and December are always so busy that I don't have much energy for anything else. I then get so behind posting things, that I keep pushing it off.

So............back to November activities. Yes, I know it's mid-January...........
Around the beginning of November we took updated family pictures. It was also time for the girls to get their yearly birthday pictures. This time we headed down the street to a local park and took a few with our own camera. We have a nice enough camera and thought we'd give the timer a try. They turned out ok considering we aren't professionals!
Ashley - 4 years
Madison - 2 years
Rylee - 13 months

Thanksgiving Day
This year we had a really quiet Thanksgiving. None of our family was able to come visit and all of our friends and neighbors that we invited over all had their own plans so it was just our little family. This was my second year cooking a turkey. Chris decided that he wanted to brine the turkey over night, so he handled that part of it and I roasted it the next day.
Ashley wanted to help me make all of the side dishes. She's helping with the sweet potatoes.

Thanksgiving FHE
The Monday before Thanksgiving our Family Home Evening focused on giving thanks. I told the girls we were going to draw a picture of something we are thankful for.
I began by telling them I was thankful for our family. This is as artistic as I get.
Madison helped Chris finish his picture.
When I asked Ashley what she was grateful for, the first thing she thought of was our house. After she finished that drawing, she wanted to do more.

When we asked Madison what she was grateful for, the first thing that came to her was airplanes!
