How to Ruin your Dinner

Chris came home from work the other night with a huge stick of cotton candy. Chris's work is sponsoring Born Free III and plan to have cotton candy for all who stop by. This is a motorcycle trip that Chris takes with his buddies (more to come in a follow up post). Anywho...........He decided to bring some home for the girls who have never had cotton candy before.

Ashley was a bit reluctant at first, but then she said to Chris,
"Daddy, Scooby-Doo eats the cotton candy monster in his movie so I'll try it."

Well Ashley, if Scooby-Doo is willing to eat a cotton candy monster,
you for sure can eat it off of a stick!

Rylee will eat anything, and I mean anything, so she dove right into it.

After Ashley finished her treat, she asked if I would fix her training wheels.
I guess I didn't get them on right the first time.

While I fixed Ashley's bike, Chris sanded some motorcycle parts.

Then we headed out for a walk around the block.

Another great Spring night spent together with the people I love.

Start of the Garden

We I spent our Family Home Evening in the Garden.
We had picked out the plants the previous weekend and had to get them planted.

While I was busy doing this.......

and this..............

Chris and the girls were doing this. Sandbox fun and silly face contest.

I promise I wipe her face throughout the day.
It looks as though she hasn't been washed in days!

Madison wanted to keep the silly faces going even after her two sisters got bored with it. We have quite the collection of pictures, but I only posted a few.

Time To Get My Hands Dirty

This is what I hope to be working on this evening.

Cherry Tomatoes

Better Boy Tomatoes

Strawberries (Ashley's choice)

Bell Peppers

and Zucchini.
This is my second year with a small garden. Last year I only planted tomatoes and flowers.
This year I wanted more fruits and vegetables, which means no flowers.
I'm ok with that. I just hope I can have another successful garden!

Ducky Bath Time

Have your kids ever played with glow in the dark stuff in the bath at night?
If they haven't, you need to try it. My girls loved it!

Grandma bought the girls these ducks that glow when you touch a button on the bottom of them. I've turned them on before in the pool in Arizona at night time and they love them then too. They've also played with them in the bath tub, but I haven't turned them on in the bath since you can't see them with the bathroom light on.

Last night I turned the light off in the bathroom while they played and they had a blast it.
The ducks glowed and I could still see the girls since the window was letting in enough light.

Madison showing me her duck. It's hard to see her, but you get the idea.
When the lights came back on, Rylee was chewing on hers!
I think I might try glow bracelets from Target next.
Those should be an even bigger hit since they glow brighter.

Saturdays in the Spring

My kids FINALLY got to enjoy the octopus sprinkler that Grandma got them in March.
It has been cold or rainy all of April and May.

Rylee woke up from her nap, headed outside
and got right in the water with her clothes on.

As I write this post on Tuesday morning, it's been rainy
off and on since Saturday night. When will Mr. Octopus come out again?!?!
Where is Summer?!?!
