FHE
For Family Home Evening a few Mondays ago we took the girls bowling. Ashley loves to bowl and she gets super excited the minute we walk into the bowling alley. She loves to use the little metal contraption that helps roll the ball more quickly down the lane. Here are just a few pictures from the night. Madison didn't really understand what was going on, but kept trying to move the bowling balls around inside the ball holder (yep, don't have a more wonderful way to say that!). Chris let her take a turn or two.

Rylee - 5 Months Old
It's funny when I look back at advice I received from people with kids, before I had kids. Many people said they took a gazillion pictures of their first born and then with each additional child you take less and less pictures. I just didn't think this could be true, and if it was true for most mom's, I of course thought....this won't be me. Well folks, yep it's officially happened. I have more pictures than I know what to do with when it comes to Ashley. Madison has lots as well, but of course, not as many as Ashley. And then there's Rylee. Poor Rylee. She's going to look back and say to me "Mom, what did I look like when I was little." And I'll have to tell her, you were cute, since I won't be able to show her! No it's not that bad, but she is officially five months old now, and I don't have very many pictures of her. I feel horrible. My goal is to make sure every few days I snap pictures of my girls. ALL OF THEM. Not just Ashley because she is in dance class. Or Madison because she just said this word or got tooth number eight. But all of them including Rylee.
Here is the most recent picture of Rylee that I took on Sunday. We went for a walk and bundled her up. She was so cute with her little hoodie.

Fun Times at InstaCare
Madison has become a pro at going up and down the stairs in our house. The other morning we were getting ready to go to playgroup, when I heard a thud and then Madison began to cry. She had fallen off the last stair or two and landed on the doggie door cover (the cover that you put over the doggie door to trap the dogs outside). There is a sharp little piece that sticks out and her forehead landed right on it. It hardly bled and at the time it didn't look very deep. I put a band-aid on it and headed off to playgroup with the kids. I had a few of my friends look at it once we got to playgroup and they said it looked like it needed stitches so I headed off to Instacare. I thought here we go.....a four hour wait with a 15 month old was how I was going to spend my afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived, walked straight up to the counter, filled out paperwork for about 10 minutes and then they got me right in. NO WAIT!!! I couldn't believe it. They put some type of gel on Madison's head that was a disinfectant and it also numbed the area so they could then stitch it up. After waiting 15 minutes for the gel to numb the area, the doctor quickly looked at the cut again and decided to "super glue" it together. I'm sure they don't use actual super glue, but that's basically what it is. A week later and it is still glued and healing nicely.
