My Thumb is a Little Green After All

I have never really been good with keeping plants or flowers alive, so I have never planted a garden. I have always wanted to, but we didn't have room in our tiny yard until recently and I was afraid I would eventually kill everything we planted. This year we decided to give it a try.

Here are just a few pictures of flowers in my garden......

and the tomatoes......yes tomatoes. And we had lots of them! They actually survived and were yummy! Ashley and Madison loved to pick them with me when it was time.

Conference Weekend

During the Priesthood Session of General Conference a few of my girlfriends and I took our kids and headed for a girls night out (is that still what you would call it even if you are hauling all of your kids with you?!). We started out the evening by heading to Deseret Book to get their free gift. We then headed across the street and enjoyed some TCBY yogurt. Tai Pan was our next stop, but we only stayed a few minutes because we got their right before it closed.

My friend Elsie (pictured above) gave my friend Mariana tickets to the Sunday morning session of Conference. Mariana's husband watched her kids while my awesome hubby Chris watched our kids so she and I could go enjoy the session. My other friend Alissa was already going with her sister-in-law, so we all went together.

Our Soft Kitchen Floor

Madison tries to stall taking a nap as long as possible. Instead of getting in her bed, her new thing lately is to bring her "banky" (blanky) and her pillow into the kitchen and she will lay there thinking she'll get out of taking a nap.

Enjoying the Last Few Warm Days of September

These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago when the weather was still warm. We were out watering the lawn, enjoying the cooler evening while the girls played. Rylee was fascinated by the hose and didn't want to stop playing with it. She also didn't like getting her knees wet, so she was crawling in a funny way as you can see.
