Another Great Family Home Evening

I love living in Salt Lake. This beautiful view is only a few miles from our house.
I love to hear my girls ask to go to the temple.

We normally go for a drive every Sunday evening when Chris gets home,
and the girls ALWAYS ask to drive by the temple. It warms my heart every time they do.

We had been promising for months that we would take them to the Temple Square for Family Home Evening and we finally did. We had been waiting for the weather to warm up and also a Monday night that didn't have rain (that was hard to come by in April, May, and June). We took the girls inside the Tabernacle. They kept wanting to head up on stage. They didn't understand the meaning of the ropes.

We headed towards the Christus and afterwards we ran into a set of Sister Missionaries that wanted to show us the new family video presentation they have. It was amazing and I'm glad we watched it. I am so grateful to have my family for eternity.

Thanksgiving FHE

The Monday before Thanksgiving our Family Home Evening focused on giving thanks. I told the girls we were going to draw a picture of something we are thankful for.

I began by telling them I was thankful for our family. This is as artistic as I get.

Madison helped Chris finish his picture.

When I asked Ashley what she was grateful for, the first thing she thought of was our house. After she finished that drawing, she wanted to do more.

When we asked Madison what she was grateful for, the first thing that came to her was airplanes!

Popcorn Popping

When Grandma and Grandpa Brown moved to California a few weeks ago, they cleaned out some of the stuff in their kitchen and I wanted their old popcorn popper. I hate to admit that for the past ten years we have always done the bagged popcorn. I have always wanted a popcorn machine, but just never made the purchase. IT HAS BEEN A HUGE HIT! The kids love it, and so do Ashley's friends when they come to play.

For FHE one night we popped some. I don't share this video because it's so fun watching my kids as they watch popcorn popping. I posted it, because Ashley doesn't want Rylee to get into the popcorn and she gets a huge attitude at the end. This makes me laugh every time I watch it!
