After enjoying a few days with Grandma and Grandpa Brown, Chris flew home to Utah to work, and I made the drive to Mesa. My in-laws were kind enough to drive with me to Blythe to help with the girls. I only had to drive an hour and a half with my kids by themselves before my sister Lisa, her husband Loren, and my brother Allen met me outside of Phoenix to finish the drive.
My girls don't do well with long drives so I needed all the help I could get.
We arrived at my parents house on Sunday late afternoon and my girls began playing immediately with their cousins. They were so excited.
Here they are attacking their cousin Jacob.
These goggles went on a bear or doll that my niece had brought with her.
Rylee decided she needed to wear them. Her cheeks are so huge that the goggles pushed them down.
Finally some pictures with my siblings. I wish they weren't taken right after I just made an 8 hour drive, but just glad to have the memory.
The boys breaking our backs.
As many grand-kids we could get into a pyramid.
One of my afternoons I was able to go to lunch with my good friends Kathy and Derren. I used to work with both of them here in Utah at JPMorgan. They both took positions in Arizona. I try to at least go to lunch with them when I come into town.
Rylee with Great-Grandpa Huish. She wanted to wear his glasses.
I don't get to see my grandparents enough since I live so far away. I wanted to make sure I got a picture with them before I left. I love them both so much.
We swam our hearts out in Grandma and Grandpas pool the whole time we were there. I can't believe I don't have any pictures of the girls swimming. I'll try to post some here if my sister or mom have them.
Great trip between California and Arizona, spent with all of the people I love.
