Pumpkin Carving

The Monday before Halloween we finally got around to carving the pumpkins we got from the pumpkin patch on Rylee's birthday. Madison took a few minutes to convince that the slimy guts wouldn't hurt her.

Cranky Rylee ready for bed.

Camille carved Rylee's pumpkin for us.

The final products. Our pumpkins only lasted two nights on our porch before someone came by and smashed them in the street in front of our house.

Rylee's FIrst Birthday

Happy Birthday Rylee!

Happy Birthday beautiful Rylee.
You are such a sweet little angel. You are such a good baby, so quiet and so easy to take care of. You are a really happy girl who is so playful. You let your older sisters love all over you without acting bothered even though it's a little rougher than you would like. You are a wonderful eater and sometimes you eat more at dinner than your two sisters combined.

You are so close to walking but you haven't taken those first few steps by yourself. You love to use your walking toy to go back and forth across the front room. Your top four teeth have come in as well as your two bottom teeth. You have had a rough few weeks as those teeth have come in.

You can say mama, dada, ba-ba, and your newest word is uh-oh.

Mom and Dad love you so much and are so grateful you are part of our family.

Rylee's birthday was Friday, October 15th. While she and Madison napped, Ashley and I made her cupcakes. Ashley looks a little mischievous as she is blending the cake batter!

Rylee loves spaghetti, so I made homemade sauce and cheesy garlic bread. She was in heaven.

After dinner we headed to a pumpkin patch in Farmington, Utah. The girls picked out pumpkins for each member of our family, from the smallest one for Rylee, up to the biggest one for Dad. Rylee and Ashley liked to ride in the wagon, but Madison only wanted to walk. I think she was a bit scared of it.

This picture makes me laugh. Everyone really did have a fun time, but you can't tell from this picture. I'm the only one smiling!

After the pumpkin patch we headed home to have cupcakes. We sang to Rylee and she dug right in to her cupcake.

After cupcakes it was time to open presents.

Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

Pumpkins

Every year our ward does a Relief Society service auction. You bring a treat, craft, service, etc. and it gets auctioned off. You are able to use fake money you earn from filling out a sheet that gives you points/dollars for good deeds you have done throughout the year, towards any of the items that are being auctioned.

Last year I was in the hospital having Rylee the day we had our last service auction. I had wanted to make these pumpkins I found on my cousin Lara's blog but didn't feel up to it. I actually planned ahead this year and started sewing the set of four that I wanted to bring to the auction this year. I have enough left over material that I plan to make my own set as well.

They are really fun and easy to make and I hope someone wants to take them home from the auction tonight!
