My in-laws were going to be in St. George the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. We asked them if they would take our kids from us for a few days so we could have a break, and then we would pick them up the following weekend from their house in California.
We drove the four hours to St. George, Saturday, May 29th and stopped into the McDonald's so the girls could eat and play before meeting up with Grandma and Grandpa.

We then met up with Grandma and Grandpa and got "Adult" food at Smashburger.
After lunch we loaded the girls up in Grandpa's truck and gave them each a present to open with something to play with on the drive.
I thought I would be really sad as I watched my kids drive away, but to be honest, I was really excited to have a break. I've gone four and half years without spending more than 12 hours away from them. I needed some time to recharge and do some things for myself and to be able to spend time dating my husband!
